Will the artwork fade after going through the dishwasher?
No. This mug is designed for everyday use, not just display.
Each mug is individually hand-painted using the traditional underglaze technique, where the artwork is applied beneath the glaze before firing. It is then high-fired at over 1280°C (2336°F), allowing the design to become part of the ceramic surface rather than sitting on top.
This firing process creates a durable finish that helps the colours remain vibrant through everyday washing.
Will coffee or tea leave permanent stains?
The smooth glazed interior is designed for daily drinks such as coffee, black tea, and hot chocolate.
Unlike porous low-fired ceramics, the dense glaze helps reduce staining and makes the mug easy to clean after everyday use.
Simply wash by hand or place it in the dishwasher after use.
Is every mug exactly the same?
No—and that's exactly what makes each one special.
Every Lorvelife mug is painted by hand, meaning no two pieces are ever completely identical.
You may notice slight differences in:
- Brushstrokes
- Colour tones
- Placement of the artwork
- Height or diameter (small handmade tolerance)
These variations are a natural part of authentic craftsmanship and are never considered defects.
If you prefer perfectly identical, machine-produced products, this handmade mug may not be the right choice for you.
Is this genuine hand-painted pottery or printed decoration?
Every mug is painted individually by skilled artisans.
It is not a transfer print, decal or mass-produced surface print.
Each piece goes through multiple stages of:
- Handmade & Hand painting
- Glazing
- High-temperature firing
- Individual quality inspection
The result is a mug with subtle character and individuality that cannot be replicated by machine printing.
